DASC Launches College Advisory Program or C.A.P.

College Advisory Program Announced

The Dakota Alliance Soccer Club is pleased to add a new program for our college bound players.  The program is entitled C.A.P. and is designed to guide aspiring players in the right direction in their quest to play collegiately, however, there will be plenty of information for those players just wanting college guidance.  The program will include two seminars per year one in the spring and one in the fall.  The seminars will cover such topics as creating an action plan through High School, the reality of playing collegiately, choosing the right college, resume writing, and contacting college coaches (how and when).  These seminars will from time to time include local college coaches and players sharing their experiences and expertise.  This program will be under the direction of Steve Burckhalter and Frank Gurnick.  These staff members will also, be available for one on one sessions to help our players needing additional assistance.

 

Our kick-off event will be the College Recognition Night on February 2^nd at the DASC Offices.  This event allows those players that are committing to a college or university to be recognized for their efforts through the recruiting process.  We will have a second recognition event at the Year End Celebration on May 19^th at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.
