100, 250 or over 2,000! What's your record for juggling a soccer ball? Have you ever tried to juggle anything that comes near your feet? Given the size of our club, our goal for cumulative juggles is 10 million!
As the weather turns colder and forces most soccer junkies inside, we want to make sure everyone is able to get lots of touches on the ball. We came up with DASC Juggle Contest 2019. Beginning November 1 and ending on Christmas day, any person in our club (from Kickstart to the U19 mens team) can take on the challenge of juggling a soccer ball (or anything really). Simply put we encourage everyone to get hundreds, if not thousands of touches over the course of the next two months. We want you to keep track by either having someone count for you, witness your juggles, record and tag DASC on any social media or just keep a record of your activity on a daily basis.
We're going to have some really great prizes from Sioux Falls Skyforce, soccer.com, and maybe a few surprise prizes out there. Here are the simple rules:
1) We are going on the honor system (no cheating).
2) The term 'consecutive' means that the ball has not touched the floor/ground. You can use any ball (object) and keep the ball in the air without using your hands.
3) The term 'cumulative' means the entire total (so if you went for 100, the ball hit the ground, you start over at 1 but you can keep your 100 total and continue to add to every single time you juggle).
4) If you are part of a group (minimum 2 people) you cannot add your total juggles separately but you must only count your juggles you did together. Example: Jim juggles alone and gets 100. John and Jim start juggling together and get 500, their total is 500.
